In just about 45 minutes or so, the clock will start a new day. It's the day of our FIRST (ever) Pottery Drop. It goes live at 12:00 noon PST
Am I nervous? Absolutely. I have no idea how many people will look at the collection and what their response will be.
It's been a little more work than I had anticipated, but certainly not like setting up an outdoor show. But I've spent a lot more time in front of the computer and behind the camera than I thought I would. Making pottery is much more fun that setting up the Drop. However, I have to admit that the detail work of the Drop appeals to my Anal Retentive self. Another however...chasing details down rabbit holes is a dangerous (and time wasting) process for my Attention Deficitness.
I've learned a lot about the process that I may want to build. Oh great you mutter, more rules. Well not exactly rules but some way of keeping the items, the copy, the measurements, the images in several forms (video, stills and edited)...keeping all that in an orderly fashion.
A checklist/timeline kind of guide would also be helpful. I almost didn't have enough time to deal with a couple of changes. This morning I woke up to a potential problem and had to spend some time fixing that. It wouldn't have happened but I had too many things going on and crossed up some postings.
The little things...like mentioning our Time Zone...the one that the sale will be happening in. The old saying, "The devil's in the details" came out to play with me severa times. A more protracted period of time to prep the gig would have helped.
But tomorrow is the Pottery Drop...NOON (Pacific Time). The Category goes live at 12:-- noon.
