Gold Mica Vase
This vase is decorated using a mice infused slip. The slip coats the pot and when removed from the kiln at about 1300 degree, horsehair, feathers and sugar are used to decorate the piece with carbon (and smoke). Where the smoke passes there is a blush of gold iridescence. It is then washed, dried and sealed with an acrylic spray.
This piece is best used with dry contents.
It is approximately 8 1/2 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter.
