The raw black swirl going around the bowl is inspired by the stream on our property. The color is actually carbon embedded in the clay in the raku process. Approximately 3 1/2 x 7 inches.

Lickinflames is proud of it's 45 year history of making pottery using raku, obvara and feather decorations. The beautiful patterns created by saggar firing, especially tin foil saggar simply fascinating. All the work is handmade using stoneware clay.
