Wheel thrown and pulled handles...how "old school" can you get. The glaze took nearly a year to get to a place where it looks great and feels even better. When I set out to make mugs (again) I really wanted the mug to feel good in the hand. This series of glazes met my goal.
Of course a mug could look good, feel good and not be functional. This is a nice compact size (aa pod fills it just right)...the mug goes into the dishwasher and microwave. The handle is large enough to slip a finger into as you wrap your hand around the mug...but not so large to cause the mug to be heavy on the fingers.
Orange? Who does an orange glaze...I surprised myself and liked it. It took a bit of tweaking to get the orange to be right, but now I'm digging it.
PURPLE! It's the most asked for color and this shade of purple is really a marriage between violet and purple. Just a happy color.
Of course because these are handmade, you need to consider that there will be some variation in the pieces. It's just the nature of the process.
