I'm always a bit more than amazed at the array of "stuff" that I find interesting. This, that, those and them are all candidates to find interesting. Sometimes I feel a if I'm like one of my dogs, Montana, who is a very "birdie" American Brittany...she's that dog who is walking down the path and suddenly....FLOWER...or...BEE and so forth. I do get distracted easily.
I was out walking around the property looking for a place to shoot a "lifestyle" photo for one of our retailing partners and noticed that this dragon fly (a flame skimmer or firecracker skimmer (Libellula saturata) in case you're wondering) kept landing on the top of this metal star in our garden...it's almost as if he was saying, "catch me if you can." I could and I did.
Tomorrow I color wash a few pieces for the feather decorating and obvara firing later in the week. I laid out all the pieces and it's a bit more than I've done in the past...like way WAY more. Should be an interesting day. The obvara goo is bubbling away...it will be a great batch.
